Rat Pack Poster
For this project I had to create a poster promoting something therefore I chose to create a movie poster for the fictitious Rat Pack movie. The Illustration of the red classy rat stands outs and the picture of the Rat Pack singing is a great background. This, along with the font and color scheme effectively communicates the Rat Pack's ultra-cool style. A professional and visually stimulating layout is created when these elements are arranged. I used Photoshop and InDesign to create this poster.

Depression Desperados
For this project, I was supposed to do a multiple page layout regarding any subject of my choice. I chose to do a layout for a fictional book called “Depression Desperados” chronicling the lives of notorious criminals John Dillinger and Bonnie and Clyde in InDesign. To give the layout a unique look I made each page look like a page from a newspaper that has aged with time through my font choices and imagery.
In additon through manipulating the blending mode and heightening the contrast in Photoshop, I gave each photo a bold look. In the end this layout is clean and professional. The style goes along with the era and the bold images make the layout visually appealing. I created this layout in InDesign along with using Photoshop for photo manipulation. Below are the first three pages of this 16 page layout.
For this project, I could design my own project as long as it covered at least 2 tabloid size pieces of paper and I met the minimum number of images. I drew up a proposal of what I chose to do and what I was going to include. I chose to do two tabloid size posters for the movie, The Departed, in Photoshop. For both posters I used the same text. I created two unique and visually appealing posters through the use of imagery, connected
through a similar color scheme and identical fonts. To scroll between both posters simply use the arrows.
Capone Layout Project
For this project, I had to create a two-page spread about a certain person or art style. I chose to create a layout about Al Capone and the part he played in prohibition. I made a large photo of Al Capone along with his name written in large font behind him the focal point of the design. This right away catches the viewers eye. It also effortlessly leads the viewers eyes to the text and the rest of the title that reads The Mob and Prohibition. Then I used an image of a speakeasy as a background; this image combined with the simple font and black and white picture of Capone provide a timeless appeal to the design. Together these elements combine to create an appealing layout that has a classic look. This layout was done in InDesign. Photoshop was also used.
